Etched glass panels
All of our etched glass panels are fully bespoke and prior to production a scale proof drawing is provided for customer approval.
Single glazed panes can be double etched for full obscurity leaving no clear glass at all. This will make the design a little more subtle but still highly effective.
Our panels are available in single glazed (4mm toughened safety glass) or as double glazed panels in standard thicknesses of 14mm (4/6/4), 20mm (4/12/4) and 28mm (4/20/4). These are the most common thicknesses used for double glazing applications. We can make any thickness from 14-28mm rising in 2mm increments. Do you need an alternative thickness? If so please use our enquiry form here.
Our double glazed panels are made from toughened energy efficient glass, argon filled and with black warm edge spacer bars for maximum thermal efficiency. We etch the units once they are hermetically sealed with the etched side designed to face the interior of the house.
All of our etched surfaces are treated with Ritec easy clean coating ensuring that they don’t get dirty finger marks or spoiled during the fitting process. Care should be taken to avoid getting silicone marks on the surface of the glass. The Ritec coating means it should take no more than a quick wipe over with warm soapy water to leave them looking brand new.
If you require something a little more complicated such as shapes, colours or decorative carving please get in touch using our enquiry form here.
Our shop will automatically calculate the cost for two panels based on the dimensions you input for one panel.
Input your actual finished glass size. The rule of thumb is to reduce the width and height by 5mm total (2.5mm off each of the four sides) in wooden frames and 10mm total (5mm off each of the four sides) in uPVC. These are a guide only and you should check the most appropriate size when measuring your frame.
